This site is dedicated to Freshlook disposable contact lenses
that can change your eye color using very soft cosmetic coloured contacts
for comfort. A box of disposable colour contact lens can be purchased
with vision correction to see better or without correction if your
vision is good. They can be worn for up to a week before removal.
Freshlook disposables are available as Colorblends, Colors, and Dimensions.
Disposable cosmetic color contact lens can be used to change the eye
colour of those with light or dark eyes. The enhancer colored contact
lens, such as Ciba Vision’s Dimension colours, are only suitable
for those who have light colored eyes and just want to give them a little
extra color.
Experience has shown us that approximately 4 out of 5 orders for color
contact lenses are without vision correction. In other words more people
wear colored contacts for cosmetic reasons than for visual reasons.
A recent Ciba Vision poll found that the most popular coloured contacts
are the green (27%), amethyst (26%), blue (18%), turquoise (13%), gray
(7%), honey (5%), and the brown (4%).
Disposable Contacts Make A Good Choice
Disposable contacts were first introduced in 1987. They are designed
to be worn for a short period of time after which they are thrown
out
and replaced with a fresh pair. Disposable contact lenses are now the
most common type of contact lense.
Contact Lens Types?
- Disposable contacts are usually discarded after one week of wear
- Frequent replacement contacts lenses are replaced monthly or quarterly
- Regular reusable contacts are usually replaced every six months
or so
The term "disposable" sometimes include both disposable and
frequent replacement lenses.
Replacement verses Wearing Schedule
Replacement schedule refers to how often your lenses are discarded
and replaced.
Wearing schedule refers to how often you remove your contacts, without
necessarily discarding and replacing them. Daily wear means you remove
them each night, and extended wear means you leave them on while asleep.
Disposable contacts can be prescribed either for daily wear or extended
wear, depending on your doctors recommendations. Your eyecare professional
will determine which wearing and replacement schedule is best.
Why Disposable Contacts?
Usually the more frequently you replace your contact lenses the better
because it is healthier and more comfortable for your eyes to wear fresh
lenses. Substances like Protein, calcium, and lipids, which are found
naturally in your tears, can build up on your lenses and make your contacts
less comfortable and more prone to infection.
The Healthiest Lens
Daily or one day disposables are contacts that you discard every night,
and replace in the morning with a new pair. They are convenient because
they require no lens cleaning, and healthier because there is less risk
of eye problems from not sleeping in the lenses, and more comfortable
because there is less lens deposit buildup.
How Different Are Disposables from Regular Lenses?
Even before the advent of disposable lenses, it was well known that
frequent lens replacement was healthier. Since contacts were too expensive
for frequent replacement, various cleaning solutions and devices were
developed to prolong the life of the lens.
When contact lens manufacturers where able to produce contact lenses
at lower cost, it led to lower prices, making it affordable to replace
the
lenses
more often.
Which Replacement Schedule Is Best?
Some contact lenses are meant to be replaced at predetermined intervals.
Your replacement schedule depends more on how your eyes react to wearing
the contact lens. If you have allergies, you might find that your lens
will need to be replaced more often during peak allergy seasons because
of the extra mucus produced which coats up the lens.
